Keny Arkana

About

Born in France to an Argentinian family, Kenny Arkana is a hip-hop artist whose music his colored with themes of both the civil disobedience and alter-globalization movements. After rapping with a couple of hip-hop groups in her teenage years, she founded the La Rage du Peuple music collective and released her debut solo EP Le missile est lancé, in 2004. Arkana dropped her first full-length album Entre ciment et belle étoile, soon after in 2006, and has since acted as a voice for the people of Marseille with her subsequent albums such as 2011's Tout tourne autour du soleil.
