Surupa Sen

Like every other artist, Surupa Sen seeks spiritual bliss and oneness with God through dance. For many years, this established dancer has been practicing and performing Odissi, one of the ancient dance forms of India. Her training started under Late Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and late danseuse Protima Gauri. She attended international dance shows and met artists from all across the world, all of which broadened her view to the world of dance. Her mentor, Protima Gauri, had founded the famous school, Nithyagram, and Surupra took over the reins after the unfortunate demise of Protima. Surupa's life, now, revolves around dance school where she teaches aspiring students as well as choreographs spectacular solo and group shows; many of which have brought her awards.
