Michael Nesmith

Michael Nesmith was an individual who has held many different career titles. Though he spent time as an actor, producer, novelist, businessman and philanthropist, he was best known as one of the founding members of the music group The Monkees. Helping form the band in 1966, Nesmith would go on to see the band evolve into a major player in the international music scene over its career. Opting to pursue a solo career, Nesmith's material outside of The Monkees is a bit more country-centric, with simple acoustically strummed numbers that typically go over well with fans of Western music.
