Athens, GA-based outfit pacificUV is an indie rock project that incorporates elements of dream pop, electro and shoegaze into its sound. Formed in 1998 by creative leader Clay Jordan, the band dropped its self-titled debut album in 2003 with Warm Electronic Recordings to critical acclaim, offering a sprawling, warm and ambient effort. Jordan relocated to Portland to recruit a new set of musician for pacificUV's 2008 follow-up album, Longplay 2, before moving back to its home base. After several tours of Europe, North America and Asia, the band enlisted poet Laura Solomon during the making of its fourth studio album to help enhance the lyrical portion of the band's textured sound. pacificUV released the resulting records After The Dream You Are Awake, in 2013 dripping with themes of human anxieties and fantasies.
