Danseuse Yogini Gandhi has excelled in Kathak and Odissi, one of the oldest dance forms of North and East India. She was privileged to learn under the Kathak exponent Pandit Birju Maharaj and the eminent Odissi dancer Late Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. Today she performs at various cultural festivals across the world, manages her dance institute, Kalanidhi and is the prestigious member of the UNESCO International Dance Council. She has won numerous awards for her ability to create masterpieces by combining both the dances yet retaining the distinctiveness and originality of each form.
