He is the pioneer in introducing Western dance, especially contemporary jazz to India, Shiamak. He reinvented Bollywood dance and westernized film choreography, bringing a refreshing change for the audience. His institute, Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA), was founded with the slogan 'have feet. will dance' which has held no barrier for any level skill or age group. Shiamak, as an artist, has always mesmerized the audience with his song and dance performances. His world-wide acclaim is unceasing with his solo or group acts at prestigious events like World Economic Forum or 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games. He is responsible for making dignitaries like Bill Clinton tap their feet, and also make Tom Cruise dance to his tunes for Mission Impossible 4!
