Brooke Candy, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and tattoo artist, was born on July 20, 1989. She first garnered attention in 2012 by appearing in Grimes' music video for "Genesis." Shortly thereafter, she released her own singles, including "Das Me" and "I Wanna Fuck Right Now." In 2014, she signed with RCA Records and launched the "Opulence" EP. Although she had intended to release her debut album, titled Daddy Issues, the project faced delays, leading to her departure from RCA in 2017. Subsequently, Candy pursued an independent career, culminating in the release of her first full-length album, Sexorcism, in 2019. Originally from Oxnard, California, she grew up in Los Angeles and worked as a stripper prior to her music career. Renowned for her daring and provocative aesthetic, Candy has collaborated with notable artists such as Charli XCX and Sia, establishing herself as a unique voice within the underground music scene, where she explores themes of sexual expression, empowerment, and artistic freedom.
