About
Set in the American South in the 1920s and 1940s, and centering around a successful literary editor and her romantic relationship with a soldier fresh from WWII, Bright Star is a musical with lyrics by Edie Brickell and book by comedy legend Steve Martin. Initially premiering in 2014 at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, the musical had a run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. before making its Broadway opening in 2016.
