Royal Bangs

Since its inception, Knoxville, Tennessee trio Royal Bangs has received plenty of comparisons to rather hefty bands to attempt to emulate, including MGMT, Animal Collective and even Radiohead. While these comparisons aren't entirely valid--particularly because the band strays from the experimentation of the latter two comparisons--the band certainly does create catchy indie rock/electropop that is indebted to its predecessors. Quite the success in the UK, Royal Bangs is now attempting to garner an audience in its home country and, through more touring and albums, will undoubtedly do just that.
