Formed in 2011 Carroll is an indie pop band from Minneapolis that creates a psychedelic-tinged synthpop sound. Hailing from Washington, Nebraska and New York, the band members settled in Minnesota and picked a moniker based on the street they lived and practiced on, Carroll Avenue. The band began to churn up jangly pop music filled with catchy melodies and a deep seated but accessible melancholy, and finally released its debut EP Needs, in 2013.
