Antonio Florio

Antonio Florio is an Italian conductor who was born on the southern coastal city of Bari, along the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Having spent a long gestation period absorbing as much musical knowledge as possible both intentionally and subliminally, Florio released his first proper album of original compositions in 1996, with the well received Cristoforo Caresana: Per the nascita del Verbo. Prior to his career as a professional musician, though, Florio spend time in the philanthropic composing community and played an integral role in helping found the Capella della Pieta dei Turchini in Naples, an orchestra dedicated to Neapolitan and Italian baroque styles.
