Puffy AmiYumi is a Japanese pop duo featuring two women, Ami and Yumi. Puffy AmiYumi’s first single “Asia no Junshin,” which have a unique melody and ridiculous lyrics, created a great sensation in Japanese music scene and the duo gained nation-wide popularity as soon as it debuted. In 2002 Puffy AmiYumi began its music career in US and the duo became popular when the animation “Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi,” which is inspired by Puffy AmiYumi, was broadcasted in the Cartoon Network. Its pop musical style and Ami and Yumi’s frank character are loved by music fans all over the world.
