E. Gayathri has been fondly named as Veena Gayathri for her dedicated passion for the popular instrument of Indian classical music. This wonder child was recognized at an early age of 10 when she played veena at the prestigious Saint Thyagaraja Festival in Tamil Nadu, followed by achievement of Senior Grade artist title by All India Radio. This was just the beginning of a gifted artist, as she continued serenading music lovers with her precision and command over the instrument. With over 1500 live renditions and numerous Carnatic music albums, Gayathri's music is a delight to the ear.
