About
Based in Tampa, FL Matt Hires is a singer/songwriter and musician who got his start in a local band called Brer. The band's debut album Microwavable caught the attention of Atlantic Record executive Gregg Nadel, who was captured by Hires' overall sound. Under the F-Stop Music subsidiary of Atlantic, he released his debut EP, Live from the Hotel Cafe, in 2008 and earned critical acclaim for his sincere voice. With the help of producer Eric Rosse, Hires released his first LP Take Us to the Start, in 2009.
