The Pierces, sisters Catherine and Allison, are a New York City via Alabama duo who specialize in cooing come-hither harmonies over immaculate, country-tinged arrangments that bounce from slick New Wave to big city folk-rock to slick adult alternative and back again. Home schooled by their earth-friendly (read: hippie) parents in Birmingham, the Pierce sisters have been singing together virtually from infancy and are both professional level ballet dancers.
