A Kentucky native and Nashville, TN resident, Sturgill Simpson has country music in his veins. After getting his start as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the country rock outfit Sunday Valley, he turned to a neo-traditional, outlaw style for his own solo material. Simpson released his first album, High Top Mountain, in 2013 to critical acclaim and laudation from classic country aficionados.
