Stackridge is a psychedelic folk outfit that emerged out of Bristol in 1969. The band fit in nicely with the burgeoning rock and roll scene of the early 1970s and released its eponymous debut album in 1971 with MCA and Decca Records. The band disbanded in 1976, leaving only a string of hits behind. Stackridge reunited in 1999 with a new album, titled Something for the Weekend. Led by two of its founders, lead guitarist Andy Cresswell-Davis and bassist James Warren, the band continues to tour and release new music.
