Brian Simpson is a pianist and composer from Gurnee, Illinois whose pleasantly garish style of music blends together elements of smooth jazz as well as R&B and modern pop. Since releasing his debut album, Closer Still, in 1995 Simpson has kept active, releasing additional LPs, performing regularly and collaborating with the likes of Dave Coz, Janet Jackson and Michael Brecker.
