Billy Cobham is a Panamanian American drummer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest living jazz drummers. Emerging in the late-1960s with Miles Davis and subsequently the jazz fusion group Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cobham established himself with a style that blends explosive power and exacting precision. Though Cobham has maintained a busy collaborative career, he has also maintained solo endeavors as a band leader consistently, starting with his debut album, 1973's Spectrum.
