Justin Furstenfeld

Texas-born artist Justin Furstenfeld is a producer, guitarist and singer/songwriter who is best known as the front man of the alternative rock band Blue October. As a solo artist, he operates under the moniker 5591, after the patient number he was given while being treated at a mental institution for bipolar disorder. Furstenfeld released his debut solo album Rooftop Sessions, in 1993, followed by 1994's The First February, before he formed Blue October and released the band's first album The Answers, in 1998. He has since continued to release records with his band, including the group's 2011 effort, Any Man In America.
