About
Formed by three well respected DJs and producers from Monterey, Mexico in 2009, 3Ball MTY is an electronic collective that creates a unique style of music that blends Latin sonic aesthetics with contemporary electronic rhythms. An onomatopoeia of sorts blended with an acronym, 3Ball MTY (standing for Tribal Monterey) pays respects to its homeland with its name, its music and its personal philosophy. Though founded in 2009, the outfit had a breakout year in 2012, when it went on its first tour of Mexico and won a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist.
