Antropofagus is a heavy metal band that emerged out of Italy in 1996 with a brutal death metal sound. The band's distinctive gory imagery was first captured on its 1999 debut album No Wast of Flesh, a record that has become a sort of cult album among metal fans. Despite the early success of its first record, the band suffered from a shifting lineup and wouldn't release another album for over a decade. Antropofagus finally dropped its sophomore album, Arichitecture of Lust, in 2012.
