Cactus is a famous Indian band belonging to West Bengal, a region deeply rooted in art, literature and music. Their collaboration started in 1990s when veterans clung to the old melodies and a fistful youth chose English rock. Cactus chose to deviate and pioneered Bangla rock music in India with an intention to stay connected to Indian tradition at the same creating a musical revolution that would inspire the generation. And the reaction to this new age music was spell-binding since Cactus released its eponymous debut album in 1999.
