Steven Wilson is a singer/songwriter from England who is well known as the guitarist and vocalist for the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. Though he has maintained an ardent recording and touring schedule with Porcupine Tree, Wilson released his well-received debut solo album, Insurgents, in 2008. Opting to pursue a sound that focuses more directly on his singing and guitar playing, his solo works are more enjoyable and satisfying in a narrower way.
