About
Los Invasores de Nuevo León, established in 1977 under the leadership of Lalo Mora, is a distinguished norteño band that has made a substantial impact on the genre. The original lineup comprised Mora, Isidro "Chilo" Rodriguez, Luis González, and Arturo Vargas. As time progressed, the band underwent several changes, notably with the addition of accordionist Javier Ríos, who became an integral part of the group. Their fame peaked during the 1980s and 1990s, with memorable tracks such as "Laurita Garza," "Amor a la Ligera," and "Ni Dada La Quiero" remaining popular on radio stations today. The band frequently incorporates political themes into their music, reflecting their views on U.S. involvement in Latin America. Following Lalo Mora's transition to a solo career in 1993, the band continued to flourish, evolving with the changing musical landscape. Their extensive discography includes several studio albums, such as El Puente Roto and Aguanta Corazón, which highlight their lasting influence in the norteño music genre.
