Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland Dead Skeletons is a psychedelic rock trio was founded in 2008. In search of music to go with his art show, frontman and creative leader Jón Sæmundur enlisted musicians Henrik Björnsson and Ryan Carlson to record the song "Dead Montra," which went on to become Dead Skeletons's first track. The song became an instant success among experimental rock audiences in Iceland, leading the group to record its first album, Dead Magick. Released in 2011, the record catapulted the group onto the international stage.
