About
The Strawbs is a rock band that began as a bluegrass group in 1964. As its sound continued to evolve, the band began churning out songs that leaned closer to folk rock, glam and progressive rock. The Strawbs released its eponymous first album in 1969. Despite numerous lineup changes and a hiatus during the early 1980s, the band has pushed forward with founder, lead vocalist and guitarist Dave Cousins at the helm.
