Best known as the lead singer of the British band Simply Red, Mick Hucknall is a singer/songwriter and musician who had enjoyed a successful solo career in addition to his work with bands. In the late 1970s he formed the band Frantic Elevators, with which he released four singles, before becoming the face and creative leader of Simply Red. After ten albums with the band, Hucknall released his debut solo album Tribute to Bobby, in 2008, with elements of R&B, soul and pop.
