Brooklyn-based band VietNam is a rock and roll outfit that pulls from elements of blues and soul music. Since its initial formation 2004, the band has undergone a number of personnel changes with front man Michael Gerner as the only original member. After releasing its debut EP The Concrete's Always Grayer on the Other Side of the Street, in 2004, VietNam dropped its self-titled debut LP in 2007. Though the group disbanded following the record release, Gerner eventually rejuvenated VietNam in 2013 with a sophomore studio album titled an A.merican D.ream.
