Her affair with the art form began under the guidance of Anuradha Nehru in Washington D.C. And later it was the eminent danseuse Leela Samson who trained her in Bharatnatyam. Besides, participating in dance shows, choreography and conducting workshops, Amrita extends her passion for art through her role as the head of dance programming at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai.
