Brutal Juice is a hardcore punk band from Denton, Texas that was founded in 1991. Formed by music students, studying at the University of Northern Texas, the band describes its style of music as "acid punk," an idiosyncratic genre, created by blending psychedelic-influenced punk with progressive rock. Though the group developed somewhat of a cult following in the Texas hardcore scene, band tensions tore it apart in 1997. Since then, Brutal Juice plays sporadic surprise shows to the acclaim of their aging fans.
