About
Houston Person is a jazz saxophonist whose known for performing in the hard bop and swing genres. Born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, Person first started playing piano before switching to saxophone. Since releasing his debut album, Underground Soul!, in 1966, Person has kept active, releasing additional LPs at a prolific rate in addition to maintaining a busy touring regime.
