Pyrrhon (pronounced "peer-on") is a New York City-based avant-garde metal band that was formed in 2008. Though the group has maintained a fairly prolific recording schedule, beginning with its 2009 debut EP, Fever Kingdoms, Pyrrhon has truly defined itself as a live band with unrelenting tours across North America and Europe. Picking and choosing favorite elements from specific genres like instrumental virtuosity from technical metal, sonic meandering from drone metal and blunt aggressiveness from death metal, Pyrrhon has successfully blended these qualities together to create a unique style of music.
