An acclaimed Bharatnatyam dancer and a fabulous actor of Indian cinema, Shobana Chandrakumar’s zest for art is evident in both performing arts and visual media. While her performances in various South Indian movies have won her several accolades like the National Film Award, she has also been facilitated with the Padma Shri for her dance prowess. But this success hasn’t deterred her effort to promote art, as she and her talented students of her dance institute, Kalarpana, continue to perform for national and international audiences.
