The Blues Brothers is band that derives from the 1980 American musical comedy film of the same name. Directed by John Landis and starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as "Joliet" Jake and Elwood Blues, the movie was in turn adapted from "The Blues Brothers" musical sketch on the NBC variety series Saturday Night Live. Though the live band comes in several forms, from the The Official Blues Brothers Revue to The Original Blues Brothers Band, the group makes a specific blend of modern blues and comedy that has resonated with generations of fans.
