When most people think of characteristic Swedish music, the two big genres that typically come to mind are electropop and death metal. While these two styles of music are widely popular in the Scandinavian country, they don't necessary speak to the country's history. Lucky there's bands like Jul i Folkton that create intelligent Swedish folk music that is able to touch on the very essence of the country the members of the band call home. The group's music might be hard from some to properly absorb, but after listening to the band's music for a short amount of time you'll feel like you just submersed yourself in rich Swedish culture.
