About
Originally formed in 2007, as the solo project of Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter Jessica Dobson, Deep Sea Diver has since grown into a collaborative band, with the addition of Peter Mansen on drums and John Raines on bass. Creating music with a defined pop sensibility, Deep Sea Diver's music capitalizes off of Dobson's unique world outlook and her tendency to focus on the triumphs of life rather than its tragedies. Though the group spent the majority of its formative years playing shows, honing its approach and polishing its sound, Deep Sea Diver would eventually release its much awaited debut LP, History Speaks, in 2012.
