About

De Saloon is a notable Chilean pop-rock band formed by childhood friends Jean Pierre Duhart and Ricardo Barrenechea, later joined by José Miguel Amigo and Roberto Arancibia. Following their relocation to Santiago, the band achieved early recognition with their demos "Esfumar" and "Brigida," which gained traction on local radio. Their debut album, released in 2003 and bearing the band's name, was succeeded by Morder in 2004. The third album, Abrázame, released in 2006 and produced independently, marked a significant milestone in their career, leading to a re-release in Mexico by Warner Music. They continued to build on their success with Delicada Violencia in 2008, produced in Argentina by Tweety González and Richard Coleman. De Saloon is celebrated for their electrifying live performances and has participated in major festivals such as Cumbre del Rock Chileno and Lollapalooza Chile. Their subsequent albums include Fortaleza (2010) and Mar de Nubes (2014). Despite José Miguel Amigo's departure in 1998, the band continues to play a crucial role in the Chilean rock landscape.
