Primarily a product of the creative energies of singer and guitarist Robert Schneider, Apples in Stereo is an indie-pop band that infuses Beatle-esque and Brian Wilson-y pop hooks with a unique brand of sunny psychedelia. Forming in the early 90s, the band was one of the leading artists in Athens, Georgia's Elephant 6 music collective--a record label/arts co-op that produced some of the decade's best music. In the years since its inception, Apples in Stereo has been wildly influential, setting the mold that, by and large, American indie-pop bands have been following ever since.
