Composed of two Canadians, one Korean and two Americans, We Need Surgery is a post punk band that formed in South Korea in 2007. Despite hailing from different corners of the world, the five musicians played on stage together for the first time after only a few jam sessions and immediately began writing We Need Surgery's first tracks. The band decided to tour North America in 2010 to chase a record deal and ended up settling in Vancouver and signing with Light Organ Records after being the subject of several local music blogs. We Need Surgery released its self-titled debut album in 2012.
