Marionette

When six 16-year-olds who were equally inspired by the flamboyance of Japanese visual kei and the sadism of Swedish death metal got together they wound up forming the band Marionette. After developing a characteristically melodic style of death metal coupled with an appropriately gothic image, the band entered into multiple national competitions in 2005 and placed highly in many of them. These competitions garnered the band enough press to grab the attention of many prominent metal bands who asked the newcomers to tour with them, thus beginning the commercial success of Marionette.
