Hailing from Brooklyn, NY the four-piece band People Get Ready is an indie pop outfit comprised of Steven Reker, James Rickman, Jen Goma and former Yeasayer member Luke Fasano. The group got a head start in 2009 when it played a string of shows at one of New York's most influential art venues, The Kitchen, and it captured a local audience with its buoyant electro pop and tight harmonies. People Get Ready is inspired by other artists such as photography Cindy Sherman and uses those inspirations to create smart but catchy pop music.
