Some people make it through their entire lives without ever witnessing a real flamenco show. There's probably a special level in hell designed for these placid people who are afraid to indulge themselves in a little flamenco. However, if you've never seen a flamenco show, you needn't fear; there are plenty of them out there and are relatively affordable too. A shining star of the modern flamenco scene is the Barcelona-based singer/songwriter Alba Carmona. Her sultry voice will make the most hardened, up-tight, naysayer melt and turn into an individual who can think about only one thing: dancing to flamenco.
