As one of the most decorated clubs in Ukraine, the name FC Shakhtar Donetsk has always been one to watch out for. Formed in 1936, it is a competitor in the Ukrainian Premier League and uses the OSK Metalist Stadium for its home matches. It has numerous titles to its credit which most notably includes the Ukrainian Premier League and the Ukrainian Cup. It has a strong presence in European tournaments, having won the 2008-09 UEFA Cup and has also featured in the UEFA Champions League on several occasions. Reputed international footballers such as Willian, Fernandinho and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have represented the club.
