Dylan Carlson

Dylan Carlson is a guitarist and singer from Seattle, Washington who might best be known as the front man of the drone doom band Earth. Born to a family with a father who worked for the Department of Defense, Carlson would move around the country quite frequently--spending time in Philadelphia, Texas, New Mexico and new Jersey, before finally moving back to live in Washington state. After emerging himself in the local rock communities, Carlson would go on to form Earth and help pioneer a unique sound that blending textured sonic collages with propulsive rhythms to create a cohesive and extremely original whole. With his solo endeavors, Carlson is freer to experiment with more varied sounds and expansive sound tapestries.
