Pentagram is a heavy metal outfit from Virginia that helped pioneer doom metal in the US. Formed in 1971, the band was a pillar in the underground scene despite not releasing an album until the 1985. The highly anticipated self-titled album catapulted the band to new levels of acclaim, reaching audiences of forward thinking metal in international communities. Despite a consistently revolving lineup, the band is anchored by lead vocalist and founder Bobby Liebling, who always surrounds himself with like-minded musicians such as long-time guitarist Victor Griffin. Pentagram continues to tour and release new records, such as 2011's Last Rites, to a growing fan-base.
