About
After the lead singer/songwriter of a Los Angeles-based post punk band left the group, the remaining members decided to carry on and change to a more folk-friendly sound. The group, called Dawes, released its debut album, North Hills, in 2008, and as the band continues to spend more time on the road honing its sound, there's no doubt it will mature into one of the more noteworthy modern folk acts of its generation.
