Casual Sex is a band from Glasgow that harks back to the days of the late 1970s when emerging bands from Scotland like Orange Juice and Simple Minds were making some of the more interesting rock music of the time. With choppy rhythms and baleful vocals, Casual Sex's post-punk revival sound has managed to help distinguish the group from the myriad of other bands that are part of the sprawling UK music scene. Founded in 2009, the group has managed to earn its stripes by playing a number of low key shows for several years before entering the studio to record its 2013 debut EP, Bastard Beat.
