Nils Petter Molvaer

Nils Petter Molvær is a Norwegian jazz trumpeter and composer who is known for his inventive style that blends the worlds of jazz and electronic music. After studying jazz at the prestigious Trondheim Musikkonservatorium in the early-1980s, Molvær would go on to play with some of Scandinavia's more revered jazz musicians including Jon Eberson, Arild Andersen and Jon Christensen. Molvær's 1997 debut solo outing, Khmer, was praised for its fusion of jazz, rock, electronic production and hip-hop styled beats.
