About
Formed by brothers James, Johnny and Bryan Lott when the three moved to Austin in 1985, the Gospel Stars is a family affair. Usually a trio, but occasionally a quartet when fronted by Reverend Mark, the band has gained a reputation playing around its home turf, particularly for its weekly performances at Stubb's Sunday BBQ Gospel Brunch. Singing a combination of classic and modern gospel songs, more often than not a capella, the Gospel Stars is an enjoyable listen.
